2020 CLASSES January – March
Foundations to Landscape Drawing 1
Drawing is a way of thinking visually about the world we live in. This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to draw in a relaxed environment. Landscape drawing is a specialised field. While the emphasis is on landscapes, this course is conducted indoors as well as outdoors in the Mclaren Vale area. Nature is your greatest teacher. As a foundation course, you will learn strategies to draw anything in a fun way. We will be drawing from still life as well as spending time outdoors (weather permitting) to learn the skills for drawing accurately.
The course is 20 hours in total length and runs for 4 hours each session, on a fortnightly basis. This will allow you time for homework between sessions. A commitment to attend all sessions is necessary as a lot is covered in each session. Each lesson builds on the previous one. I will be doing many demonstrations to help you grasp the concepts presented. Examples from art history will deepen your understanding and in depth hand outs are provided.
This class is limited to a maximum of 8 people. A small list of materials will be sent once payment is made. No refund is possible once the class begins. Fees are to be paid in full before commencing the course. A non-refundable deposit of $50 will secure your place.
