Dear Reader,

My past is a secret in my body.
It shimmers through every cell.
A wave of lives lived.
Their dreams in my dreams.

I am a reflection of my ancestors.
Loss, dispossession, colonisation,
Struggles and opportunities taken.
We create our lives in a field that is not level.
My Ancestors are prickly.
They are with me in my body.
I am their reflection, loving them into existence.
